Children are allocated to a class according to their age, with a class teacher and often, an additional teaching assistant. For some subjects, e.g. Literacy and Maths, children may be taught in a parallel class or small group.
The school has a House Teams system with four teams. Points are awarded to encourage children for their work and behaviour. Mathematics certificates are awarded to celebrate pupils' achievements. Gold awards are also awarded for special effort. There are house captains who are selected from Year 6.
A School Council, consisting of a pupil representative from each Junior class, meet regularly, to discuss matters which concern pupils and to make proposals for improving the school.
