School News: CHEERIO BUT BE BACK SOON!

Fantastic performances were given by all of Year 6 pupils in their farewell concert, 'Oliver'.  The songs were sung with gusto and the dances performed well.  So much hard work had gone into this production by the children and their teachers and it showed.  What a superb final bow by our Year 6 leavers.

School News: TREGINNIS ISAF

38 pupils and 4 staff had a 'marvellous' week at Treginnis Farm.  The weather was fantastic.  Even though it rained on Thursday for our beach visit,  we all enjoyed sploshing in the water, scrambling on rocks and looking for sea creatures in the rock pools.  Mealtimes were an eye-opener, with some children able to eat four helpings of the home-cooked healthy food!!

Early starts came as a shock at first, with the children required to be booted up and ready for work at 7:30am sharp!  Then, at 8:30am we had a good breakfast of cereals, porridge and toast. Next it was back to the boot room to get kitted up for the second task of the day. A hearty lunch followed some free time when children could enjoy the field or play in the 'Treginnis Dreamboat'.  Afternoon farm tasks ranged from tending ...

School News: LUKE FOLWELL'S VISIT

The children were truly impressed by a fantasticly skilled and entertaining gymnastic display by Luke Folwell, Team GB Bronze medalist. He smashed his record of doing a forward dive roll over 4 children when he executed one over 4 children and Mrs McEvilly!!  The children had a fun-packed session doing their exercises, including press-ups, star jumps and 'spotty dogs'!  Congratulations to everybody and good luck to Luke in his future gymnastic career.  We would love for him to return to the school to show off some Olympic medals!

School News: ERDINGTON ATHLETICS

23 pupils took part in this event and their behaviour was excellent, reflecting true sportsmanship, which has made Mrs McEvilly and the school proud. Our team finished 6th overall out of 18 teams. The participants were awarded their certificates in an assembly and some proudly displayed their medals. Shyann came 1st in her heats and 1st in the final of the 50m sprint, beating 17 other girls. Many congratulations Shyann (pictured here showing off her wonderful trophy).

Others who did well were:

School News: QUAD REFURBISHMENT

The school has been very fortunate to have had the quad area refurbished by some volunteers from Wilmott Dixon working in partnership with Birmingham City Council.  Some of the area has been decked and now looks wonderful with picnic benches and stripey parasols.  A quantity of flowering plants and shrubs were also donated and the Gardening Club braved the rain to get these in the raised beds around the decked area.
