Short Heath Nursery seeks to ensure that all children feel included, secure and valued and that no child should be excluded or disadvantaged because of ethnicity, culture, religion, home language, family background, special educational needs, disability, gender or ability.

In order to do this we plan opportunities that build on your child’s knowledge, experiences, interests and skills. We develop their self-esteem making them confident in their ability to learn. A wide range of teaching strategies are used with a wide range of opportunities to motivate, support and develop children helping them to be involved, concentrate and learn effectively. We work to provide a safe supportive learning environment where everyone is valued, that is harassment free and that challenges racial, religious, disability, and gender stereotypes. We monitor your child’s progress identifying any areas of ability and understanding that are advanced and providing challenge as well as any areas of concern and providing appropriate support.
