Year 6
The uniform for Year 6 is as above except that all pupils are requested to wear a black jumper or cardigan. Again no hooded wear will be accepted and black jumpers and cardigans must not have any logo on them.
This not only makes the year 6 pupils identifiable to the rest of the school as being good role models, but also prepares them for secondary school.
We have a small stock of uniform in school. If you wish to order school uniform items could you please come into the secretary's office, on a Wednesday and speak to Mrs. Hayes to request an order form. All items must be paid for when they are ordered and will take approximately 3 weeks to arrive.
Lost Property:
Please ensure that all clothing (including P.E kit), bags and lunchboxes are clearly labelled with the child's name and class. A lot of staff's time is spent helping pupils and parents trace lost/mislaid items and this is largely because the items have no name label.. There is a Lost Property box in the school office where you are welcome to look for lost/mislaid items. This contents of this box are regularly removed, displayed in a public area of the school and, if still not claimed, will then taken to a charity shop. We always have many items in lost property left unclaimed and we cannot store them long-term.
Personal Property:
Children should not bring valuable items to school. The school cannot be held responsible for damage to personal property. Occasionally, on special days, children are allowed to bring toys and games from home but they are always made aware of the need to take extreme care and not to bring expensive items.
Mobile Phones:
We realise that some children bring mobile phones into school with parental permission but they will not be tolerated in lessons. children should hand mobile phones into the school secretary at the start of the day for safe keeping and collect them at the end of the day.
