* Please label all items of clothing and lunchboxes. A lot of teachers' time is spent trying to locate pupils' property because it has no name on it and several pupils will have the same item.

What happens if your child arrives after the bell?
The school bell goes at 8:55am and children should be on the playground to line up with their class.  As soon as the last class has entered the building, the doors are locked.  Any child who arrives after this needs to report to Mrs Hayes at the main entrance. This is for the child's own safety.  Registers are sent to the office before 9:05am and if your child has arrived, but not reported to Mrs Hayes, then they will have been marked absent.  It is Mrs Hayes' job to register latecomers at the main entrance and then amend the class registers to show those children as present.  If there should be a fire, or other emergency and a child is not registered, then there is no record of their presence in school.  Please abide by these rules for everyone's safety.

We have been fortunate to receive some funding from the Big Lottery Fund for our 'Bright Start' breakfast club. Go to www.biglotteryfund.org.uk to find out more about applying for grants.

Important Messages
**Inhalers in School**
Please check the expiry date of your child's inhaler regularly.
May I also remind you that once an inhaler has been started, the medicine inside the canister only has  it's medical properties for 6 weeks, after which it needs to be replaced, even if there is some left.
The checking of expiry dates and inhaler replacement is the responsibility of parents and carers.

Fruit: We are encouraging children to bring in a piece of fruit to eat during morning playtimes by awarding fruit points. Please note that this is for fresh fruit only or dried fruit, such as raisins.

The School Prospectus and policies can be found on the Downloads page.

**Please note: If you do not want your child's name to appear on any newsletter, or other communications to parents, you should inform the school in writing. Please address any such requests to Mrs. Lee (Headteacher).**

* Important notice re: Parent/Carer concerns:
Please contact your child/ren's class teacher if you have any concerns about incidents in school. It is not advisable for adults to phone children at home if there has been a disagreement between pupils.
